The ’2011 Affiliate Leaders Conference’ will be held from Friday, July 29, 2011 to Sunday, July 31,2011 at Denver, Colorado.
The Conference will provide an opportunity to learn about leadership development and participants will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas about membership development as well as current issues in mathematics education with peers and colleagues in the Affiliate and Broader Communities.
The ‘2011 Affiliate Leaders Conference’ will focus on the following topics:
-Construct understanding of your own personal leadership style and how you can transform your leadership style to adapt to different situations.
-Construct understanding of the five principles of leadership and how they can help you transform the way you lead your Affiliate.
-Transform your Affiliate’s leadership and effectiveness through self-study.
-Construct a strategic plan for your Affiliate by integrating ideas gathered through discussions with other Affiliate leaders.
-Construct an understanding of the work of NCTM—its organization, leadership, resources, initiatives, and involvement with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
