" ESMO describes this as a crucial moment in the momentous war against cancer. Recent advances in all areas of basic, translational and clinical research are producing clearer understandings of the underlying mechanisms of cancer, contributing to improved tools for prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Highlights of ESMO 2008 will offer a venue to discuss interdisciplinary
issues and provide training for oncology professional at all levels.
In mid October, COS-CAMO will produce a webinar on recent developments in lung cancer, followed by a webinar on breast cancer in mid November.
These programs are being developed under the guidance of Dr. Charles
Butts, Cross Cancer Institute and President of CAMO; Dr. Amil Shah, BC Cancer Agency, and Dr. Jean Maroun, Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre."
