The ‘TESOL Virtual Seminar: Preparing to Teach English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in the Real World – Call Centers and Multilingual Workplaces’ is taking place on Thursday, June 03, 2010 from 10.00 A.M. to 11.30 A.M. EST.
The Seminar will be presented by Charles Hall.
Today English language teachers are asked to teach English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses in call centers and in multilingual workplaces.
According to Charles, this seminar will focus on the needs of both in-service as well as future ESP trainers and participants will learn how to prepare to deliver appropriate courses that reflect the needs of all stakeholders.
As per Charles, the seminar will focus on the following topics:
-Increase your familiarity with best practices in ESP
-Know your limits and build your abilities
-Learn to find resources to make you a more effective ESP trainee
-Conduct a simple needs analysis
-Assess the effectiveness of your work
-Deal with cross-cultural issues in training
